Chemical Bond Concepts
An atom has a core and valence electron. Core electrons are exactly what they sound like. They are electrons close to the core which would be the nucleus. In the s and p energy subshells, we can find valence electrons. Valence electrons are very important because they are the ones who hold the the 2 or more atoms in a chemical bonding.
